Ross’ (David Schwimmer) girlfriend on “Friends.” During seven episodes on the show, Tom was kind of a lightning rod for fans of the show, some who didn’t like the fact that she had taken Rachel’s (Jennifer Aniston) place in Ross’ heart. “Fans still get angry about that,” she says. “There was a live audience [during filming of the show], and they would boo me when I came on because they really wanted Ross to be with Rachel.”
Not to be discouraged, Tom moved on and exhibited even more of her talents, using her voice in popular animated series such as "Futurama," "The Simpsons," "King of the Hill," "Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness," "Pound Puppies," "Teacher’s Pet," "Batman Beyond" and "Mulan 2."
Now, it’s all about Andi Mack, the much talked-about series, where Andi, played by 13-year-old Peyton Elizabeth Lee, was abandoned by her teenaged mother. Enter Lauren Tom as Celia Mack, Andi’s grandmother who made her believe that she and Andi’s grandfather were her parents––and her real mom was her sister.
There will be more to this continuing story when Andi Mack returns to the Disney Channel on Mondays in June.

INTERNATIONALLY recognized entertainer Chance the Rapper recently exchanged wedding vows with his longtime girlfriend, Kirsten Corley, in a fairy tale-like event attended by 150 guests at The Resort at Pelican Hill in Newport Beach, Calif.
Dressed in a classic white tuxedo jacket with black slacks, Chance (a Chicagoan whose real name is Chancelor Bennett) beamed during the outdoor ceremony in which a radiant Kirsten wore a strapless Galia Lahav gown that highlighted her natural beauty.
The 25-year-old Grammy Award-winner, who also is a social activist and philanthropist, popped the question at a Fourth of July BBQ in 2018 and then the couple held their engagement party back in October.
The wedding, decorated with tall white rose centerpieces, was the culmination of a long relationship that began when Chance was a 9-year-old and even then “knew I was gonna marry that girl.”
The two have a 3-year-old daughter, Kensli, and are expecting another child in September.
"This is the time, and the place is my wedding. I'm gonna dance with my wife because this is my destiny."

The traditional and glitzy wedding, which came after the twosome already had wed in a December civil ceremony, was attended by some of entertainment’s most noted celebrities, including Dave Chappelle, Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and gospel star Kirk Franklin.
