ONE of Broadway’s most celebrated productions, Hamilton, is coming to Chicago, and Broadway in Chicago has announced that tickets for the 11-time Tony Award-winning musical will go on sale June 21 for performances that begin on September 27 and continue through March 19 at The PrivateBank Theatre. Tickets can be purchased in a variety of ways, including online at and; by telephone at 800/775-2000 and in person only at The PrivateBank Theatre box office, 10 West Monroe Street. Due to its popularity in New York, theatergoers have found that tickets are nearly impossible to find. The hip-hop-infused, critically acclaimed musical has been the talk of Broadway and the theater world during the past year. The production received 16 Tony nominations and collected 11, including best musical, lead actor in a musical, choreography, featured actress in a musical, featured actor in a musical and original score. It was one award short of the record 12 Tonys won by The ProducersHamilton’s arrival in Chicago will mark the first step in the eventual national and international tours of the show.

Rush Hour Concerts
THE annual Charles Tillman Celebrity Pro BOWLer Tournament will be held on July 14 at Kings Bowl Lincoln Park, 1500 N. Clybourn Avenue, to support the Charles Tillman Cornerstone Foundation. The former Chicago Bears cornerback (now a member of the Carolina Panthers) and other current and former Bears will compete to benefit the foundation, which provides chronically and critically ill children and their families with opportunities and resources during recovery and treatment. Some of Tillman’s friends, former teammates and colleagues already scheduled to participate include Johnny Knox, Jarrett Payton, Matt Forte, Anthony Adams, Jason McKie, Nick Roach, Jerry Azumah and Rashied Davis. Celebrating The Music Of Prince
FANS of music icon Prince can wrap themselves in his music during “LOVESEXY Your Favorite Prince Tribute Party” at The Promontory on July 1. The Hyde Park venue will also feature the music of Sheila E., Vanity 6, The Time, Apollonia 6 and others who were associated with “His Purpleness.” The music played at the tribute will be navigated by Salah Ananse and Kwest_ON. Prince, who died on April 21, was a musical genius who distinguished himself as a singer, songwriter, record producer, actor and master of multiple instruments. His incredible musical repertoire includes hit songs such as “Purple Rain,” “Little Red Corvette,” “I Wanna Be Your Lover,” “Diamonds and Pearls,” “Erotic City,” “The Most Beautiful Girl in the World,” “Soft and Wet,” “1999,” “Raspberry Berét,” “Sign o’ the Times” “Thieves in the Temple” “Adore,” “Do Me, Baby,” “Controversy” and “Housequake.”
THE celebration of the 17th anniversary of Rush Hour Concerts’ Summer Concert Series continues each Tuesday through August 30, offering live classical music each week at St. James Cathedral, 65 E. Huron Street (at Wabash). This year’s concert series features works by Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Schumann, Debussy and Janáèek. Additionally, contemporary chamber music will be provided by leading Chicago composers. The doors to the event open at 5 p.m.; pre-concert conversations at 5:15 p.m., and the concerts begin at 5:45 p.m. All concerts are free.
