The cast for the first production at the Windy City Playhouse, 3014 W. Irving Park, includes Tina Gluschenko, Keith Kupferer, Tosin Morohunfola, Sari Sanchez and Steven Strafford in Deborah Zoe Laufer's bittersweet comedy End Days. The story about a New York City family who has fled to the suburbs after the tragic September 11 attacks will be directed by Henry Godinez, co-founder and former artistic director of Teatro Vista and resident artistic associate of the Goodman Theatre.The brand new Windy City Playhouse was designed by renowned theater architect John Morris, who has been celebrated for his designs of Steppenwolf, Black Ensemble Theater, Lookingglass, Raven Theatre, the Beverly Arts Center theater and Old Town School of Folk Music's performance space. The Million Dollar Quartet at the Apollo Theater continues to rock, focusing on the 1956 recording session that included music icons Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins and Elvis Presley.  
Dee Snider, the former frontman of the rock group Twisted Sister, performs in Dee Snider's Rock & Roll Christmas Tale at Broadway Playhouse through January 4.
Known for such hits as "Peace Train," "Morning Has Broken" and "Moonshadow," Yusuf/Cat Stevens returns to Chicago as part of his "Peace Train...Late Again Tour" on December 9 at the Chicago Theatre.
Lisa Fischer, one of the featured singers in the documentary Twenty Feet From Stardom, has two shows at City Winery on December 8.
Grammy Award-winning entertainer Aaron Neville will display his unique skills during a performance at The Venue at Horseshoe Casino on December 12.
