The much-anticipated, annual presentation of Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol has returned to the Goodman Theatre for its enchanting run through December 27. This is the Goodman's 38th annual production, and since its unique productions began in 1978, nearly 1.5 million theatergoers––from various age groups––have trekked to the Goodman to make the classic a memorable part of their holiday season. In Dickens' popular tale, tightfisted and irascible British businessman Ebenezer Scrooge rediscovers himself after his eyes are opened to his past, present and future. Adapted by Tom Creamer and directed by Henry Wishcamper, the holiday spectacle features popular returning cast members Larry Yando as Ebenezer Scrooge and Ron E. Rains as Bob Cratchit. The Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus continues its Chicagoland run after moving to the United Center through November 29.

Ain't Misbehavin', celebrating the music, life and times of Fats Waller, runs through December 20 at Stage 773.
The popular sister-brother duo Donny & Marie perform at The Venue at Horseshoe Casino on November 27.
Country music singer/songwriter Sara Evans, whose hit songs include "Born to Fly," "Perfect" and "Suds in the Bucket," will perform at Arcada Theatre on December 4.
