The new comedy musical Tootsie, starring Tony Award-nominee Santino Fontana, will be on stage at the Cadillac Palace Theatre through October 14. Inspired by the award-winning movie starring Dustin Hoffman, the new production focuses on struggling actor Michael Dorsey, who takes some drastic steps to grab a coveted role. The pre-Broadway engagement, directed by eight-time Tony Award-nominee and Olivier Award-winner Scott Ellis, includes music by Tony Award-winner David Yazbek, a book by Robert Horn and choreography by Tony Award-nominee Denis Jones.
