THE colors. The styles. The accessories. All were front and center when the hottest trends of the season were on dramatic display during a preview of fall fashions at Zzazz Productions’ “Fashion. Music. Be Inspired.” On the runway at the Oakbrook Center event were inspiring fall fashions for her, cool-weather looks for him and back-to-school styles for kids.
While music was being supplied by the group The Mix, the presentation of “fashion in the fast lane” included an explosion of radiant colors, classic styles, retro outfits, varying hemlines and a wide variety of animal prints, geometric prints and floral garden prints for the trendy fashionista. The featured fashions in the show were supplied by a number of posh retailers, including Neiman Marcus, American Eagle, Lord & Taylor, Vera Bradley, Francesca’s, the Disney Store, Eddie Bauer, White House | Black Market, Coach, Gap and Gap Kids, Columbia, Akira, Talbots, Chico’s, Ben Sherman and Henri Bendel.
This season’s trendy attire is designed primarily for comfort and versatility. For example, as fashion show producer and commentator Tracey DiBuono said, certain items “allow you to go from the yoga center to lunch.” When it comes to selections, color-blocking, layering and chunky-heel shoes will be evident among the fashion-conscious, with the color red––from tomato red to wine––being featured to add an interesting splash of color to brighten the mood.
The fall trends––bold and eye-catching––showcase the chic, classic and sexy variety that designers have brought to the forefront.
