IT's back! And the UniverSoul Circus’ promotional ads and circus lovers say it all: “Unforgettable moments.” “Unbelievable thrills.” “Unexpected experience.”
In its 24th year of providing one-of-a-kind, edge-of-your-seat entertainment under the Big Top, the UniverSoul Circus has become a bigger spectacle with new acts, new thrills and new expectations that are delivering a new level of excitement at Washington Park through October 29. “Come to our show and get ready for some pure unadulterated energy under the Big Top,” says Founder and CEO Cedric Walker. “Our show is bigger and more explosive than ever with acts that are going to blow your mind. Come on out to the show––sing and dance and free your mind. Come and un-limit yourself!”
Now considered to be the country’s top-ranked circus (following the departure of the Ringling Bros. Barnum & Bailey Circus), “the world’s most interactive circus,” which is the only African-American-owned-and-operated circus in the U.S., features entertaining acts performed by artists from around the world, including Trinidad and Tobago, Colombia, France, Mexico, South Africa, Russia, Brazil, Gabon, Guinea and Ethiopia.
In its attempt to produce fast-paced, family entertainment, featured among UniverSoul’s acts this year are traditional circus performances and the introduction of entertainers such as Fresh The Clownsss, who have become YouTube and social media sensations.
This year’s presentation, under the direction of ringmaster Lucky Malatsi, is convincing evidence that––24 years later––the UniverSoul Circus continues to be one of the top providers of family-friendly live entertainment.
Fresh The Clownsss, popular YouTube sensations, return to the circus for a second year of unique performances. Crowd favorite (below, left) all-around performer Sifiso and Lucky The Ringmaster, both from South Africa.
